After watching the video about these socks helping with dog hair, I thought these would be perfect for catching grass clippings when the doing the yard. So we ordered them.
They really did the trick. They simply slide over the basket. My wife cleaned them out, then put them back on. I forgot about them until Theresa checked the skimmers in the ordinary course of maintaining the pool. They were disgusting!
I wish I had taken pictures. I was shocked at how much dirt they had trapped. I was only using them for particulate matter in the pool but they were almost filtering the pool water. They rinsed out easily.
I washed them with some other cleaning towels on a gentle cycle in our front-loading machine and they look as good as new. These were a simple fix to a problem that had bedeviled us since the pool was built; how to keep specific junk out of the filters at various times of the year.

Easy to put on skimmer basket and it works great. It collects debris and is so easy to empty. It washes clean with water hose and goes right back on the basket.

These skimmer socks work great on my Hayward SP1070 series skimmer basket ( Part # 4042-15). I have found that I needed to add a rock to keep them from floating up occasionally. When all the trees near my pool are blooming / leaf out it helps cut down on junk getting into my filter.
