Pure Pro XL Salt Friendly
As salt pools become more popular we have built a pump specifically designed for the demanding water conditions of saltwater pools. The most common area of failure on pool pumps is caused by leaking from the shaft seal, o-rings and gaskets. Saltwater and Chlorine can be particularly harsh on these components.
Upgraded Corrosion-Resistant Material
The Pure Pro XL Salt Friendly uses an Upgraded Corrosion-Resistant Material called Viton™ for the shaft seal, o-rings and gaskets. This ensures that your pool pump will be running great for years to come so you can enjoy your crystal clear pool.
Great for Non-Saltwater Pools too!

Can this 1 HP Salt Friendly above ground pool pump be shipped to California?

Hi Kathy, If you wanted to stay with single speed then you would need to go with the 3/4 HP PureLine Pure Pro XL PL1508 as California does not allow pool pumps 1 HP or greater to be single speed, but if the HP is lower than 1 HP then you can go single speed. If you want to go with something larger than 3/4 HP then you will need this 1.5 HP Variable Speed Pool Pump PL1615

I have a 24 ft round 52" high above ground pool it is a salt water pool what horsepower do I need for that?

Hi Charles, We would suggest this 1 HP Pump as the properly sized pump for your 24' round pool.

How many gallons per hour does this pump put out?

Hi Cindy, For standard Above Ground Pool Installations where the pump is no more than 10' away from the pool then you can expect about 50 gallons per minute or 3,000 gallons per hour.

Do you need to purchase an additional filtration system with this pump? I’m confused on how it filters.

If you do not have a separate filter already then yes you will need one. However, most pool systems will already have one present if a pool was already on property.

Will this pump turn to a horizontal output to fit a Hayward filter.

Yes this pump can be rotated to side discharge however will not use Hayward unions so would require standard connections and or PVC.
