I am wondering if you need to put sand under the Gorilla floor padding? Or can this be just set on the level ground?

You can set up the Gorilla floor pad either way.  Some of our customers will put a layer of sand down and then the Gorilla floor pad.  However the manufacturer states that you do not have to put sand down first.

The Gorilla pad is about an 1/8" thick. It is similar to a piece of felt material.

Does the Gorilla pad go on top of the pool cove?

The Gorilla pad would be put down first and the pool cove would go on top of the Gorilla pad.

I am replacing my liner and wondering how many years the gorilla pad is supposed to hold up?

Leighann, the gorilla pad should last for a few years. Gorilla pads are normally due for replacement around the same time your liner needs to be replaced.
