We want to use a leaf net pool cover during the year before putting winter cover on. Also, is it ok to add shock to the pool through the top of leaf cover?

The leaf net covers are not intended to be used as a stand alone cover. If a significant amount of leaves accumulate on the cover, the weight will cause the cover to sink into the pool. If you need to apply shock to the pool while the cover is on, I would recommend peeling back the cover at one corner of the pool and using a liquid shock.

Do I have to have a winter cover under the leaf net for this to work?

Hello Randy - A winter cover is not required but recommended. A co-worker here compared a leaf net to a tea bag. It will prevent the large stuff from dropping into the pool but the water will eventually turn murky.

My inground pool is 16 X 32 oval. Are the leaf nets rectangle or do they come oval shaped and if oval, is that a custom order? Joe

Hi Joe, The Leaf Nets is rectangle and can not be customized to fit your pool shape.
