I was successfully rebuilding my valve assembly whem I think my old stem crumbled. Is this the right part for Hayward s244t sand filter ? Does the handle levor go through this w/ a steel pin ? Is there a secret to doing that ?

Hi Lana, The SP0714T Valve  is the valve that came with your Hayward S244T  Sand Filter. The Key/seal Assembly w/ Glued In Gasket (SPX0714CA) will be the correct part you will need. You can fin other part for this valve via the Hayward Multiport Variflo SP714T Parts List.

Christina- The 4700-09x Key And Stem Assembly (spx0710xc) is the correct part for the SP0710XR50. Please note that this does not come with the 4700-10x  Gasket, Valve Seat - 5 Spoke (spx0710xd).

My handle wont budge. I can see there is sand (another problem) but it almost attached. Can i remove it? I have looked to replace the whole thing, but the only part # I can find isn't an exact match. SP-710X-B. I have a s200 sand filter.
