if I purchase a wheel deflector for my g3 where does it go looking a diagram and does it need anything additional to keep it in place/

Hi Pat, The Wheel Deflector snaps onto the Cassette Assembly keeping it in place.

is the center tube with the clips that lock it into the cassette assembly come with this ring? If not, how is it attached to the cassette assembly so that it does not come loose?

Hello Gordon- The Zodiac Wheel Deflector (w83278) does not come with the cassette assembly. You simply push this on top of the cassette assembly and when you connect your hose it holds it in place.
