Hi, The Shut Off Switch W/alarm, Double Plate (ESO2) requires 120 volts. You can find the wiring diagram in the Lx820 Installation & Operating Instructions Manual

The switch itself is actually 28 volts. It is not designed as a stand-alone switch. It is designed to operate with the LX820 control system.

I bought an ES02 emergency shut off switch with audible alarm and it came without any instructions, ie. wiring diagram, voltage requirements. the unit says 24v dc but your answers page says 120v I really don't want to fry a $200. + part.

Hi, BC. This switch is controlled by an LX80 or LX820 Controller. Installation instructions are located in the LX-80 Installation Instructions and LX-820 Installation Manual.
