Is this for 2 inch pipe? And is this a compression fitting? No glue?

Yes, this is designed for 2" pvc. It is not a compression fitting. You would glue the 2" pvc plumbing into the union.

This is for 2" but it does require glue.

Is the union a threaded connection that can be removed from the valve? If it is a threaded connection do you have any recommendations to reduce the chance of a leak?
