Can you submerge the pool cover pump in a bucket to pump the water to a higher location?

Hi Elisabeth, The Pool Cover Drain can be used in a way described, however since this is a syphon style pump it will not be able to pump water too high and you would have to keep manually priming the pump to give it power.
