The colors on my test strip don't match what is on the chart. The chlorine is a very dark purple and everything else is lighter than the rest of the chart.

It sounds like the strip is getting "bleached". This will happen if the chlorine is too high. I would recommend using a chlorine reducer to lower the chlorine. Once it is within range, you can re-test the other levels.
