I currently have a 15 year old Jacuzzi 15UMF-S Magnum and I was wondering should i go back with the Jacuzzi Magnum or is it worth the extra money to get the Hayward Super Pump? The only reason I am looking around is because my local Pool Place wants almost 600 dollars for a 1.5hp Hayward Pump and that doesn't include install. Thanks!

Hello, Mike. When  replacing the Swimming Pool Pump you will need to take into consideration the output Flow Rate of the pump and the Filter's capabilities of the Maximum Flow Rate of total Gallons Per Minute. The Jacuzzi Magnum chart indicates the Jacuzzi Magnum Pump 1 1/2 HP Pump PART# 94027115 will perform at 72GPM to 50' Resistance to Flow. I would best recommend replacing the pump with the Jacuzzi Magnum Pump 1 1/2 HP Pump. Both pump manufacturers offer great quality products, as I do not know any other information regarding your filtration system it is best to replace it with the same pump.
