I understand the unit can be controlled by an external device but the TCO allows the heat pump to control the pool pump to keep the water temp at the set point. From what I understand a remote system just allows turn on/off of the heat pump.

Hi Tom, This unit is not equipped with a TCO, only the HP21104TC has that feature.
