I have a 18 x 36 in ground pool, 4 ft deep shallow and 8 ft deep. I have a Hayward cartridge filter and 1 1/2 Hayward pool pump. The pump runs on 220 and the motor seems to be very hot. Can't put my hand on it. I go through a pump every 2 years. Any suggestions!!

Hi Denny, Several things can cause the motor to run hot, you can check out our Pool Motor Troubleshooting blog for more info.
