Looking at the HP21404T (140K BTU). Previously responses have noted the need for a 60 amp breaker but the Hayward data sheet (http://www.hayward-pool.com/pdf/literature/heatpro-brochure-lithtpro15.pdf) lists a minimum ampacity of 42 amps and overload protection of between 50 (min.) and 60 (max.) amps. Therefore, wouldn't a 50 amp breaker work as well? Thanks.

According to the data sheet, a 50 amp is the Minimum Overload protection and 60 amps are the Maximum Overload Protection. Therefore, Hayward recommends a 60 amp breaker at installation. Feel free to contact Hayward Pool Products at 1-908-355-7995 if you have additional questions.
