Does this part fail often? I replaced the O ring but the filter still leaks from both sides of the flange clamps. You can't see any cracks on the flange clamps but perhaps it is a hairline crack. Could anything else be leaking that would cause water to pour out from the flange clamps?

Hi Mike, This part can fail. Given what you've described the o-ring could have been installed incorrectly. Recheck the o-ring, make sure it's lubricated nd installed properly. Check the tank for any cracks, if it still leaks then replacing the clamp can resolve your problem.
