My mud frame has two holes for screws but they are not threaded and the are to big for any of the screws to fit in.can I use drywall anchors?

Hi, John. According to the SDX Retro Owner's Maintenance & Installation Guide, the plastic anchors will have to be used in your case. However, you will have to drill new holes. See Page 6 and 7 of the installation guide.
