The current readings are:
2700
93
26.0
5.89
66P
-2600
AL-1
r 1.59
t-15
The unit will hold these approximate readings for the day while the pump is running. However, each morning the salt reading at startup will be between 600 and 1900 until I switch from auto to off and back to auto. Then the instantaneous reading will return to 2700 and remain their until the following morning. Thae same is true if I switch from Auto to Super chlorinate and back to Auto. The 2700 reading looks correct compared to salt test strips. I recently replaced my 4+ year old cell think that might be the problem. However, the problem continues.
Any suggestions?
Hello Jazimmer - When you replaced your cell, did you replace it with another TCELL15?
Yes. The replacement was a TCSELL15.
Ok. The wrong cell could have caused some odd readings. It sounds like your main circuit board is going bad. The part number for the board is GLX-PCB-RITE.
Ordering the PCB today. Thanks.
I have the same problem. I HAVE A NEW CIRCUIT BOARD but did not solve the problem.
Hello John - How old is your salt cell? An aging cell will start to send incorrect readings to the control.
Take a look through the Hayward Troubleshooting Manual. If you aren’t able to determine the problem, we recommend contacting Hayward tech support. 866-772-2100
contacted Hayward and they were of no help. I finally found the problem which was a bad flow switch. The flow light was not on but it seems like it must have been stuck in the closed position causing all the problems.
