Hi we have a 1hp pentair superflow, 2011.
We are looking for a 1 speed to replace the existing motor that has 2 speeds with a switch on back cover
The motor spins and electric is at motor. But no noise. Can you suggest a new motor and or pump. Does this superflow match up to today’s pumpa?
We’d be glad to assist you. What is the part number or catalog number on the motor label?
The Superflo is still a good pump. There are motor options that are more energy efficient than a single speed or 2-speed. The variable speed motors have the ability to consume the least amount of energy.
Thanks for the response
We need a motor, Thanks for the videos they helped. Our pool is21x40 about 34k gallons. Initially we had a 1hp sigle speed, replaced with a 2 speed. Unfortunatley, heater doesnt work on low speed. I think to keep it simple we want a single speed motor. But VS is a consideration.
We are upsizing our plumbing to 2". Except for suction to pump we have 2" from pump to pool. Pool has 2 skimmers, 2 main drain and 2 returns in the wall and floor.
Mechanicals are
Pentair pump SF-N2-1A or part 340042
Pentair Sandollor 80 filter with 2" valve
Heater is plumbed in for 2"
Valves returning to pool are 2" with a reducer after valves.
thanks Don
Thanks for any help
The replacement single speed motor is model B2848. Click Here to View the B2848 Motor
The variable speed option would be model ECM16SQU. Click Here to View the ECM16SQU Motor
We recommend replacing the seals when you replace the motor. The SuperFlo seal kit is part number GOKIT78
