if the product is not properly installed with a pool or spa by a qualified licensed installer in
accordance with applicable local codes and ordinances, good trade practices, and the
manufacturer’s installation instructions;
So, where is “qualified licensed installer” defined? Does this mean my licensed electrician that installs it is OK, even if I, the homeowner, do the plumbing?
While the language in the warranty reads qualified licensed installer, this could mean any licensed tradesman with liability coverage and experience installing pool heaters or boilers. Raypak would prefer that the unit be installed by a licensed pool/spa professional or mechanical contractor; as they are, in most cases, the most experienced at safely and correctly installing pool heaters.
Also, it is important that the installer or end user register the unit on Raypak’s website, according to the instructions in the Installation and Owners Manual.
