UST1102 replacement

I would like to replace the 13 year old 1hp AOsmith motor (UST1102) and Hayward pump with the energy efficent model UCT1102 of the same HP. The current motor powers my system of 10000 gallon pool with 12 solar mats just fine. Would this motor be sufficent to power my system or would you recommend a higher HP? Also, any additional part required to install or is this a direct swap?

Hello Swenie - If your current UST1102 has no issues circulating the water, the UCT1102 will have no issues. They are equal as far as total horsepower.

We recommend replacing the seals when you replace the motor. What is the model of your Hayward pump (Super Pump, Super II, Max-Flo)?

The picture you posted is the motor. That motor is used on several different pump models. Could you post an image of the pump side?

You have a Hayward Max-Flo pump. The tune up kit is part number GOKIT1. If you have salt water, go with GOKIT1SALT.
