This guide provides you with an overview on how to install an Above Ground (AG) Oval Pool. Installing an Oval pool is a little more involved than installing a round pool because you have to reinforce the flat sides of the pool wall. This means more parts and more steps. There are two methods to reinforcing an Oval wall. The older method uses buttresses that extend 3' beyond the outside of the flat sides of the pool. These extensions make it difficult to get around the pool and also take up more of your yard. The newer method uses a strap structure assembled under the pool to reinforce the side walls. This guide outlines the newer method. Due to the length of this installation, it will be broken up into a series of guides as described briefly below. Note: These instructions may vary according to your pool model so consult your owner's manual for any variations.
