As your solar lights float all day in your pool they collect and store electricity in their rechargeable batteries to give off a rainbow of color each evening. The built- in LED bulbs automatically turn on at dusk and constantly change color from green to red, blue to orange, purple to blue and white. Are these lights bright enough to light up a pool size of 18'X 4' at night. I have 2 daughters that love to swim in the pool but there is no light in there for them at night. Will this be bright enough for them to still enjoy the pool at night

These lights are more used for a decorative purpose.  I do not recommend using them as your main light source.  I think you would be better off with the Nightlighter NA410 if you are looking for nighttime swimming.

Is there a way to have the light stay fixed on one color?

No, the floating solar lights are designed to continually rotate through the colors and cannot be fixed on a particular color.
