what gallon is this pool. and what size motor and filter system would be best for this pool. also if I went with salt, what generator and salt clorinator will be best for a pool this size

Hi. This 18'x40' pool capacity is about 17,000 gallons. Please click this link > Recommended Products to view recommended pump and filter packages and the AquaTrol Generator ca be used with that pool.

I have limited view of my landscape and don't want a pool sticking up from the ground in addition to a nice deck around it. So, I would like to know if this pool can be recessed in the ground a few feet to meet two goals at once. Also, in my over half century life, I have NEVER HEARD OF PEOPLE HAVING A LINER AND LOOKING FOR A STRUCTURE THAT THEY HOPE FITS.. It's ALWAYS an old, damaged or poor install that ruins a liner, and the owners go looking for a liner to fit their structure. Just silly

Hello, Unfortunately, this pool can not be recessed into the ground. You would need a pool designed to be installed that way (semi-inground).
