i want to glue this to a 1 1/2" pvc pipe. will the 1/1/2" end slip over a 1 1/2" pvc pipe with no threads. the threaded end will attach to a garden hose

The 1.5" is the inside diameter of that pvc reducer side so if the outside diameter of your pvc piping is 1.5" then it will work.
