I am not certain when we got the Jacuzzi pump - if it was before 7/89 or after 7/89.
Probably after 7/89. If there much difference between the 434 and the 358 o-rings?

Hi Jane, The 434 O-ring measures 6.1" X 0.25" and the 358 measures 6" X 0.2" so as you can see they are very similar in size but the sizes are off just enough so they are not interchangeable.

Inyopools.com has the best pool maintenance tips and videos for troubleshooting. I checked the pump filter for debris and the fan for debris and that was not the problem. Followed instructions to check for leaks around fittings and a few we're slightly loose and these were tightened. Still, the vac remained slow. My local store had the oring for the filter but did not have one to fit the pump filter housing (after 3 trips and much frustration). Inyopools had the correct oring in stock so I ordered. Shipping was very quick and yes! That fixed my problem. Thanks Inyopools.com for being a leader in customer service and instructions for us "do-it-yourself" folks.

Pros: initial price was fair
Cons: shipping and handling fees
Seems like the same quality as the original. Arrived quickly - Think that packing and shipping fees to Canada are exorbitant - so I drove to the US to get it. I have a lot of things shipped to my door from the US and this had by far the largest almost ridiculous fees almost three times the cost of the product. Especially so since the product only weighed maybe 3 oz.

I needed to reseal some jacuzzi pumps rather old and no manuals. They had the diagrams on line but I needed to talk to technical support and that person was very helpful on the phone with o-ring and seal replacement in the pump. I needed that guidence and they handled my questions very well.
