My pump volute froze over and cracked along with a valve and a section of plumbing. This led to me having to re-plumb the entire system. I decided to go with valves with union connections so I can replace a single part of necessary since only 1 valve developed a leak, but the way it's plumbed, I have to replace all 3 valves that are cemented to reach other. I love these CMP valves, they have a great build quality and smooth operation. I will say that the unions and length to the connections, so you will have to take that into account if your plumbing is grouped tightly together like mine.
