I use bungy cords to tie down cover. Does cover have metal grommets with holes at each water bag loop?

Good day, yes this unit would have grommets at each loop.

I'm planning to install a winter pool cover. My inground pool is irregular shape, measures 20 'x 44'. I need to lower the water level about 12"-15" below the top edge of the pool. Is this the right size cover or should I buy a larger cover to account for the level of the water below the top edge?

Hello Timothy.  Attached please find a brief tutorial How To Select an Inground Pool Winter Cover  Please review the information detailed in Step 2.  Dropping the water level has an impact on the winter cover size selection process.   The Winter Cover should rest evenly on top of the pool water and not exhibit a concave appearance.  Based on the pool dimensions provide and the 12"-15" water drop, the pool size should be considered to be 25' X 50' making the  Winter Pool Cover for 25' x 50' Rect Inground Pool - PL7962 or Winter Pool Cover for 25' x 50' Rect Inground Pool - PL8962 appropriate.

Winter pool cover ripped

Written on 11/22/2023 by Guest

Winter pool cover ripped along cover seam. Contacted INYO pools.com regarding warranty. They requested a photo of how the cover was installed. Not sure how many people take photos of their swimming pool once it was closed. ( I didn’t) INYO pool stood behind warranty anyway. Received new cover under warranty terms. Installed second winter cover. This time I took photos of the cover being held by water tubes. Within several months, the second cover also ripped along seam. INYO asked for photos of which I supplied. They stood behind the product. Elected to take refund on cover since I had bad experience with two covers. Purchased a more expensive cover.
Waiting for a warmer day to install new winter cover on pool. Thanks for being a reputable company and standing behind the products they sell.

Removed old cover. Cleaned pool apron. Removed pool handrail and steps. Filled water bags. With assistance from a neighbor placed the new cover in position and secured with the water bags.
