EP Hi-Build Epoxy Swimming Pool Paint Details:

Our 2-part Hi-Build epoxy coating provides a hard non-porous tile finish that is durable to automatic cleaners and pool chemicals. Hi-Build is crammed full of epoxy resin, U.V. stabilizers, and silicone that further protect against damage caused by algae, U.V. rays and chlorine. Plus, it's easier to keep clean than a plastered pool!

Hi-Build has excellent fill qualities, resulting in a perfect application – even on imperfect pool surfaces. This self-priming coating also has a 1:1 mix ratio, which makes it a much stronger, heavier duty epoxy than other leading brands with much lower mix ratios.

Apply over most types of epoxy pool coatings in good condition. Can also be applied over bare concrete, plaster, gunite, and fiberglass. Lasts up to 8 years. Dries quickly. Available in White and Dawn Blue.* 2 Gallons.

This superior high build epoxy is formulated to provide the longest lasting finish of any pool paint.

This product comes in 2 1-gallon containers yet the description says it covers 125 sq ft per gallon. Does mixing the two cans together produce 1 or 2 gallons?

I purchased a home with a pool that will need paint, but have no idea as to what type of paint was previously applied. Will the previous paint need to be removed (down to bare concrete)or will the epoxy adhere to all other paints?

The Epoxy paint can only be used on top of Epoxy paint or concrete, so if you were not sure of the old paint we would recommend removing the old paint all the way down to bare concrete to assure the best results.

Fiberglass Pool was Deteriorating

Written on 5/8/2018 by Guest

EP Hi-Build was the perfect coating for aging, worn fiberglass. Surface prep was minimal as it was already 'rough' to allow excellent coverage of the Hi-build Epoxy. Need a few days of No rain in forecast; 3/8's nap roller and a solid 5-gallon bucket to mix the two 1-gallon parts (Part A and Part B). After a 20-minute 'mix' and a 20-minute 'activation', start your application. Don't really need 'painting' skills to get a great finish. Allow at least 5-day's cure-time for the epoxy to dry, before adding water back into the pool.
