Is this safe for an above ground pool with a vinyl liner or will it wear out my vinyl?

The Robotic Inground Cleaners should not be used for Above Ground Swimming Pools. The vibration that is caused by the cleaners climbing the walls causes too much strain on the swimming pool walls and can damage the pool. I would suggest the Pool Rover Jr.http://www.inyopools.com/Products/07800005031460.htm. This cleaner does not climb up the pool walls, but does the same job as the other AquaBot cleaners on the pool floor. These cleaners are made for vinyl pools.

pURCHASED THE jUNIOR YESTERDAY, MISSING CLEANING A QUATER OF THE POOL. USE YESTERDAY FOR 2HRS. AND TODAY SAME THING HAD IT IN THE POOL 2 HRS AGAIN NOT CLEANING ALL THE POOL.mANUAL MOVED IT TO THE DIRTY AREA, BUT KEEPS GOING BACK TO THE CLEAN AREA. hELP

Cons: Doesn't go up the walls
First time of hearing about the aquabot junior. Took a chance and decided to order it. The price was right and there wasn't any reviews to go after. Well, I Love it! It gets the job done! It picks up all the dirt, leaves, sand and even small rocks. Pleasantly surprised! I have an inground pool 16 by 32. It doesn't make it all the way up the walls but keeps my pool sparkling clean.

I PURCHASED THIS AQUABOT JUNIOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO, FOR MY NEW 16X32 VINYL INGROUND POOL. THIS AQUABOT IS AWESOME, AGAIN AWESOME.I TOOK OUT OF BOX, PLUGGED IT IN AND AWAY IT WENT ALONG WITH THE DIRT. IVE USED IT APPR 6 TIMES AND IM STILL IN AWE. OUR POOL WAS EXTREMELY DIRTY SINCE WE DO NOT YET HAVE CONCRETE AROUND POOL AND THIS MACHINE PICKED UP 95% OF DIRT AND OTHER DEBRIS. ONCE AGAIN, GREAT BUY YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED. ALSO CLEANS WALLS VERY WELL.
