I have a 20000 gallon pool should I just put all the chemicals for the 30000 kit in or try to figure out exactly how much to use?
Hi, Mike. It will be better to measure out what is needed for your size pool. However, it would not hurt your pool if you were too.
Do you have to run the pump all winter or long enough to circulate the chemicals, which is?
For a 20,000 gal pool drained halfway, should I us 15,000 or 30,000 winter kit?
Sher, If you can not run the pump and filter, we do not recommend adding any chemicals as they can not be circulated. If you can run the pump and filter, I would recommend the 30,000-gallon kit.
I received my winterizing kit for 30K gal pool. The directions say to follow the bottle instructions on the Algecide (Halt 50?), and there are no clear instructions for winterizing application on the bottle. Which application would I use: Initial, Visible (no I have none), maintenance or booster?
Good morning Kimberley, The maintenance dosage: 1-1/3 oz. per 10,000 gallons. This is used to kill and prevent algae from forming.
Does the shock in this kit contain chlorine?? Is it safe for vinyl lined pools?
Good day. Yes, this shock is safe for vinyl pools. The active ingredient in the shock is sodium dichloro-s-triazinetrione , or just simply Dichlor. It is a sodium based shock that is quick to dissolve and will not hurt the liner.

I went to my semi-local pool store to get a closing kit. I asked the young man on duty about the instructions for it. He said "just lower the water level and dump in all the chemicals at the same time and cover the pool". I asked if it was not necessary to make sure the chemicals circulate. He said "no" and that when they are hired to close a pool, they just dump them in. I did not think that was wise so I contacted Inyopools and ordered the closing kit. It arrived in a few days. I followed the instructions included in the kit. This procedure takes a day because you need to add and then let circulate and then drain some water (if you live where I live and it is going to freeze). This is my second year using this product and last spring when we took off the cover, the water was practically clear! I am very satisfied with this product and the correct instructions I get from Inyopools.

Pros: Great Price, easy to handle and install
This is an easy closing kit to use. It comes with clear to read directions. Just follow the simple steps for an easy pool closing. This is the first time that I have used this particular kit. So time will tell how well the ingredients will perform over the winter. But so far "all" of Inyo Pools products have worked real well for me. Including a new pump motor and parts. I highly recommend this company and its great prices and products!
(5 out of 5 stars) It Was Awesome But is Out of Stock

Yes, I really loved this kit. Easy to use, clear instructions and very clean water in the spring. Unfortunately, it is now out of stock and even though it was pictured on the web, a substitute was sent. No instructions, totally different products. I got a refund and found a similar user-friendly product elsewhere. Please bring this product back!

All the stuff needed to close up a pool for the winter—for us that's about 8mos. of pool closure. Makes opening it in the Spring easy. Keeps the water from getting stinky and weird during the milder edges of winter.
