Model # NS410
Warranty 5 Years
Our solar blankets are made to give you the maximum heating and insulation properties, combined with long life. Durable 12-mil blankets are loaded with thermal bubbles that retain heat at night and on cloudy cool days. Our transparent blue color helps insure that the sun's heating rays are reaching your pool water. Your pool will be up to 15°F warmer than an uncovered pool. All our blankets are U.V.-protected so they last under the most intense sunlight. They are backed by a 5-Year Warranty.

Does the solar cover come with an overlap like a winter cover does?
No, the solar cover does not come with an overlap. A solar cover is designed to sit on top of the water's surface and fits on the inside perimeter of the pool wall.
Are the edges on the custom solar blankets finished in any way?
No, the manufacturer does not finish or heat seal the edges on custom sized solar blankets.
What is the difference between the clear and the blue solar blanket?
First, the clear solar blanket is thicker than the blue; the clear is 14 mil thick while the blue is 12 mil. Secondly, the clear allows the sun to pass through the blanket thus heating the water better. The blue blanket tends to absorb the heat itself so the blanket gets hot, not the water. Lastly, the clear blanket has a 6 year warranty as opposed to the 5 year warranty for the blue.
(4 out of 5 stars) Excellent cover for the price

Pros: Lightweight - good for the wife to be able to get it on/off, seems well constructed.
Cons: Concerned about sturdiness.
It has been 20 years since I have had to maintain my own pool, so when I recently purchased a new house with a pool, I immediately knew the need for a solar cover. The covers in my childhood were far heavier - I remember having a lot of trouble getting them on and off. This cover is extremely light, but still seems sturdy and well constructed. Trimming it to fit my pool was simple and easy. If it holds up for the entire season, I'll call it a win.
