Part # NS420
Warranty 5 Years
Our solar blankets are made to give you the maximum heating and insulation properties, combined with long life. Durable 12-mil blankets are loaded with thermal bubbles that retain heat at night and on cloudy cool days. Our transparent blue color helps insure that the sun's heating rays are reaching your pool water. Your pool will be up to 15°F warmer than an uncovered pool. All our blankets are U.V.-protected so they last under the most intense sunlight. They are backed by a 5-Year Warranty.

If the pool is already to temperature, will the blue hold the heat in?
Good Morning- Yes, the blue will hold heat. But, the clear tend to be thicker and do a better job with heat retention.
Do you carry anything that will act as a solar cover that one person can handle. My pool is 16' x 26' plus a spa step
Hi, Jim. Only if it's on a reel system, otherwise, it will have to be done a section at a time.
Regarding the clear heavy duty blanket, what is the difficulty of only one person handling it. What is the difficulty of getting it out of the pool?
Hi, Jim. It will be very difficult for one person to handle removing and putting on this cover on a pool.
Do these covers fit odd shaped pools? mine is shaped similar to a figure 8. If not, what type would?
Hi Karen, The Solar Blanket are designed to be cut to the shape of your pool. You can use our How To Use A Solar Pool Cover for further instructions.
Does the solar cover come with an overlap like a winter cover does?
No, the solar cover does not come with an overlap. A solar cover is designed to sit on top of the water's surface and fits on the inside perimeter of the pool wall.
Are the edges on the custom solar blankets finished in any way?
No, the manufacturer does not finish or heat seal the edges on custom sized solar blankets.
What is the difference between the clear and the blue solar blanket?
First, the clear solar blanket is thicker than the blue; the clear is 14 mil thick while the blue is 12 mil. Secondly, the clear allows the sun to pass through the blanket thus heating the water better. The blue blanket tends to absorb the heat itself so the blanket gets hot, not the water. Lastly, the clear blanket has a 6 year warranty as opposed to the 5 year warranty for the blue.

Pros: Good quality
Cons: packaging and shipping extremely poor
Increased pool temperature by 10 degrees. We live at 3,000 feet and keeping the water at 85 degrees is great. The blanket also reduces evaporation.
