Blue Wave water balance chemicals
The first, most important step to proper pool care is to keep your pool water in balance. This will ensure that you are getting the most effective use of your chemicals. Test daily to ensure that pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness and cyanuric acid (stabilizer) are within the correct levels.

HARDNESS INCREASER
Use as needed to raise the hardness (calcium) level in your pool to the ideal range. Prevents water from becoming corrosive and damaging your pool's plumbing and heater. Stops staining and etching of pool surfaces caused by low hardness levels. Great for use in areas where soft water is a problem. Recommended dosage: 5 lbs. per 10,000 gallons to raise the hardness approximately 40 ppm.

Q: Following chemical treatment, how long do I have to wait before I use my pool?
A: With the exception of superchlorinating (which requires waiting until the chlorine level drops to recommended levels), you can generally use your pool when the chemical is dispersed throughout the pool. Fifteen minutes to one hour is a good rule of thumb.
