The Clear Check Valve 3/4" - 1/2 lb. Spring W/ Unions can only be installed horizontally and a Swing Type Check valve is designed for vertical installation.

I just had a new Hayward pool heater installed and it needs a water pressure relief vale on the manifold. The heater is h200i and it is a 200,000 btu heater.

Hi William, you would require the CHXRLV1930 Pressure Relief for your Hayward H2001 heater.

The check valve works great and is easy to install. If you order this from the pool store is will cost 2 time the cost.

Cons: Unsure about corrosion resistance to chlorine
I used this as a check valve to protect my pool heater from an in line chlorinator. It's not the one recommended by the manufacturer of the chlorinator(Rainbow), but theirs wasn't built with the screw on unions. This made it really easy to install the chlorinator, and will make any future repairs equally easy.
