What is the depth and diam of part that goes into nitch?

Hi, The diameter of the Hayward Spa Astrolite is 3-1/4" then it goes to 2-7/8" at the end and the depth is 4-5/16".

What is the dimension of the face ring? What is the dimension of the light bulb?

This light measures 6 inches in diameter across the face ring. The bulb measures 3 7/8" acorss.

Is it possible to replace the light housing while using the existing electric cable?

You cannot use your existing light cable.  You will need to pull the new cord through the conduit on the new light.
