Hayward 1085 Series Pool Skimmer for Vinyl/Fiberglass In-Ground Pools
The Hayward Auto-Skim Series is molded of rugged, non-corrosive ABS and has no joint below water level. The Auto-Skim feature a cover collar allowing 1 1/2" vertical adjustment and a snap-in-weir that automatically adjusts to 4 1/2" variation in water level. An optional float/by-pass valve is available. Skimmer includes standard and extra long 1-1/4" screws. The Auto-Skim can be used in either Residential or Commercial applications. Add an optional float valve and equalizer with a NSF approved cover to any Auto-Skim with a square cover to accommodate commercial requirements.

What is the size of the opening of this skimmer?

The inside dimmensions of the opening measure 15 1/4" X 5 5/8" and the outside dimmension of the face plate is 18 1/4" X 8 5/8" This skimmer has 16 Screw holes on the face plate.

I have a skimmer needing to be replaced. The number on it is SP 1084 A5. Would the 10852 be the same one? It looks the same. I have an in ground vinyl liner pool.

Hi, The SP1084 A5 skimmer would be a standard model and the SP10852 would be a Wide mouth skimmer. It may look the same but different dimensional feature. You can view the difference in the Hayward Series-Auto-Skim-SP1084-1085 Manual.

I need to exchange the old skimmer Hayward SP 1084-A5. I need similar with the same dimensions of skimmer face. Your expert "Joe" recommend me to buy Hayward Wide Track Skimmer - SP10852. But I am not sure if the dimensions of the face are same. In your owner's manual on the page 5 are different dimensions than on the page 6 with the dimensions of SP 1085 Series. See enclosed files. Because of the cut out panel and holes for screws I need skimmer with exact same face dimensions as on page 5.
Hi Otaker, This Hayward SP10852 skimmer does measure the same as the dimensions you posted on page 5 of your manual. The inside dimensions of the opening measure 15 1/4" X 5 11/16" and the outside dimension of the face plate are 18 5/16" X 8 11/16"
