Model # H200P1
The Hayward H-Series heater represents the very latest in heating technology for swimming pools and spas. H-Series heaters are easy to install and maintain, thanks to its low profile, light weight and CPVC plumbing capabilities.
Rust resistant water path, with injection-molded polymer header, offers improved by-pass control and extended life by providing additional protection from the damaging effects of erosion from high flow conditions.
Heat exchanger reliability is improved due to the reduction of condensation hat can form on tubes. Exclusive CPVC plumbing kit allows for universal heater replacement and maximum plumbing versatility.
Our patented single header "V" baffle design heat exchangers allow for long life, fast heating and virtually no condensation. All Hayward heat exchangers are now protected with highly resilient Cupro Nickel for greater durability and longevity.
Constructed of tough, durable stainless steel, H-Series burners can be removed individually or as a complete unit for easy maintenance and cleaning.
H-Series Thermal Efficiency Rating = 83%
1 year parts and labor limited warranty for single family residential users
Hi what does the letters th and pg mean
Hi, Bill. I was unable to find out what the letters or symbols on a gas valve actual means.
We have a hayward h200p1 i am thinking the gas valve may be going out, do they have one that will replace it?
Hi, Mike. The replacement gas valve this unit is the H-Series Gas Valve 150-400 LP MV - HAXGSV0003.
Do u need power to operate this type of heater and if so what power do u need 120 to 24?
Hi Mike, No power is needed. This design has a constant pilot, sitting just below a small generator. This generator uses the heat of the pilot flame to generate small amounts of power (milli-voltage, or thousands of a volt). This trickle of power is then used to operate the rest of the system. The pilot operates at about 500 BTUH. The advantage of using millivolt ignition is that no electrical power needs to be supplied to the heater. The heater can therefore be located in areas where no electrical service is readily at hand, or where it would be prohibitively expensive to provide electric service.
Where can my heater be installed?
There are specific venting requirements and clearance distances that must be met to ensure proper operation. Consult the owner’s manual for exact specifications for your model of heater.NOTE: Gas fired heaters should be diagnosed and repaired by trained personnel.
What is the elevation rating for the Hayward H-Series Low Nox Heaters
Per Hayward, the Hayward H-Series Low Nox Heaters have an elevation rating up to 7,700'
What is the difference between an Electronic and Millivolt ignition?
The basic answer is that Millivolt is the old style of ignition, using a standing pilot light. While the electronic ignition uses a spark start system like a gas grill. Electronic ignitions are more efficient in gas usage and also are better suited for high wind areas where a pilot light might get extinguished.
Will a gas heater operate at the low speed of a dual speed motor?
Probably not - Most gas heater will shut off at low GPM levels (20-40) to keep the heater cores from overheating - 20 for 200 BTUs, 40 for 400 BTUs. Depending on your pool system you might get these GPM levels at the low speed but generally these heaters must be run at the motor's high speed.
How do you know if a pool heater is a propane heater or a natural gas heater?
Typically in the product name we use the abbreviation of "LP" for propane or "NG" for natural gas. Click here for a full listing of our >Pool Heaters.
