Booster Pump for use with Hayward Viper High Performance Pressure Cleaner or the Phantom Pressure Pool Cleaner. Please note the 5060 has been replaced by the new model 6060. If ordered, the 6060 is the model that will be shipped. The Hayward Booster Pump is purchased separately as part of the Viper Automatic Pool Cleaner package to offer optimum cleaner performance. The 3/4 HP Pump can be used with either the Hayward Phantom Pressure Cleaner or the Hayward Viper Pressure Cleaner. The Hayward Booster pump will allow you to not take suction away from your regular swimming pool pump. The Hayward booster pump will concentrate on cleaning your swimming pool. The pump is needed in order to use the Viper or Phantom Hayward Pool Cleaner.

Local pool store's part was $60 higher and was not the exact match, the Hayward booster pump was exactly what I needed, installed easy and works great.
This cleaner is designated as a pressure side cleaner which means:Pressure Pool CleanersMost pressure cleaners require a booster pump which is typically a ¾ horse power pump that is dedicated for use with the cleaner alone. The booster pump allows you to operate the pressure cleaner without taking any suction away from your main pool pump. The addition of the booster pump does mean pressure cleaners require a more involved installation than either suction or robotic cleaners. The booster pump is installed in tandem with your pool pump.
