Part # 98600000
Pentair Aqualuminator above ground pool light with Hydro-Optic technology for optimum brightness.
Will this light work with a polygroup summer waves above ground pool? And does it have to be plugged into a GFCI?
We would not suggest this light on the Summer Waves Pool as the metal is too thin to support the weight of the light. The AquaLuminator does need to be plugged into a GFCI.
what is the hose connection size for the return hose?
Hi, Jim. You can use 1-1/4" or 1-1/2" hose with this pool light.
Hi. Can you tell me what the out put voltage of the transformer is and is it D/C or A/C out put voltage?
Hi Jeff, According to the warehouse it does not indicate if it's AC or DC, but the output voltage is 12.
can I buy •Pre-wired transformer with on/off switch only
Hi Brett, You will need the Aqualuminator Transformer and Cord Cap Assembly (83000000), the transformer w/ switch is not sold separately.
I have a 24' up ground pool, it is about 15 yrs old. Will this light assembly work and also is there a you tube video so that I get a better visual on the setup? Thank you,
Hi Ginger, this light would just install into a standard return jet fitting so you should be fine with installing this on an older pool as these jets have not changed. Unfortunately we do not have an installation video for the Aqualuminator, however we do have the AquaLuminator Installation Manual which shows the installation process.
I have a return light presently that is defective and leaks. I want to replace it ,Does it simply unscrew to remove. The entire unit turns and its dificult to grasp the parts inside the pool.
Page 5-7 of the Aqualuminator Owner's Manual go over the process of removing this light..
i am trying to replace the bulb i have tried to unscrew it for quite some time but it does not unscrew it turns and the housing is not moving what could be the issue
Hi Sal, Page 5&6 of the Aqualuminator Owner's Manual go over the exact step by step instructions for replacing your bulb. These instructions should be helpful in doing this replacement, if you still have the same issue then please let us know.
Does this light have a freeze plug available?
Hi, I cannot find the 12v Box is it possible to buy it separetly? Regards roar
Roar- The Aqualuminator 98600000 would require the Aqualuminator Transformer and Cord Cap Assembly (83000000).
Can I use this light on an Intex pool?
According to the manufacture Pentair this light is not recommended for Intex pools.
Does the Pentair Aqualuminator light come with any colored lenses?
I'm getting the Intex 18'x9'x 52" above ground rectangular pool. Would the aquailuminator fit the return line for that pool?
Unfortunately we would not suggest the Aqualuminator for an Intex pool. If your Intex pool is a soft sided pool then we would suggest this light here http://www.inyopools.com/Products/00100001003799.htm and if it is the Intex Metal Frame pool then we would suggest this light here http://www.inyopools.com/Products/07700015060833.htm
Do I need to lower the water level below the inlet to install the fixture?
Yes it is recommended that you lower the level of your water down past the light in order to take the full light fixture out.

Pros: Excellent price and quality
We ordered the Aqualuminator above ground pool light online. It was the same light as seen at a local pool place. The price was excellent and the quality is just what we expected. We had our light in just 3 working days after we ordered it. Great service!!
(5 out of 5 stars) perfect light for the above ground pool

Pros: looks great, fairly easy to install
Cons: some leaking at fitting to hoses but easily repaired
It was a fathers day gift for my husband but as soon as it arrived we put it in the pool. It makes our pool look so nice and it is getting compliments from everyone who sees it. Our pool is not new so the installation was tricky with the water in the pool. The directions were a little confusing because there was not a parts list with pictures to identify the things. We love it tho. We are concerned about what to do if the bulb burns out. Will we have to buy a whole new light?
