Product Description

IntelliBrite ® 5g Color LEDBrilliant underwater lighting at nearly half the energy used by competing LEDs IntelliBrite ® 5g color-changing pool lights and IntelliBrite ® spa lights feature LED technology - the wave of the future in energy efficiency, lifetime value, quality of light and the ability to control it. With IntelliBrite 5g, combinations of individual colored LEDs are mixed and matched to achieve a vibrant spectrum of colors. These combinations are power sequenced to illuminate and cycle through colors at varying speeds, and in different sequences of color. With its custom reflector and unique lens design, the IntelliBrite 5g is the brightest and most efficient underwater LED light available.

An Eco Select ™ Brand Product: IntelliBrite and IntelliBrite 5g are among Pentair Water Pool and Spa's greenest and most efficient choices. Features

  • A superior reflector design assures more light is directed toward the pool bottom to further increase intensity and color effects, while minimizing glare
  • Superior lens geometry distributes light in an optimum way to avoid “hot spots" on the pool bottom. Light intensity and color are distributed more uniformly throughout your pool
  • Lens can be rotated to 180 degrees to provide wide beam pattern (standard) or narrow beam pattern.
  • IntelliBrite technology makes use of the brightest LEDs available in underwater pool and spa lights - up to 50% less energy comsumption than competitior's lights.
  • Set one of 5 predetermined fixed colors to match or create the mood for the evening – blue, green, magenta, white, and red or select from 7 popular pre-programmed "light shows".
  • IntelliBrite was designed to work with IntelliTouch ® and EasyTouch ® the leading control systems for pool, spa, and poolscape equipment automation. In effect, you transfer control of IntelliBrite to the IntelliTouch or EasyTouch system which controls all your other backyard and pool features.
  • IntelliBrite 5g color pool lights are backwards compatible with first generation IntelliBrite lights.

What is the difference between the older version Inteillibrite and the newer 5g version? The new 5g version has a lower wattage consumption with the same out put of light, the older version had a wattage consumption of 70 watts where the newer version has a wattage consumption of 50 watts.

I'm replacing a Pentair series 600015, 600016, 600017 and 600022. It is hooked up to my Jandy Aqualink system. I'm able to cycle through colors by turning on and off. Can I control the Intellibrite 5G colors the same way? or do I need to buy the controller also? Thanks

A     Answered on 9/14/2017 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi, George Martinez. You can use your AquaLink to control the Pentair Intellibrite light by turning the circuit on/off.

I have a Pentair series 600015/600016/600017/600022 color changing pool light. The seal went bad and water leaked into the unit. Is it possible that the unit still works? The pool is drained and light fixture removed, everything looks good except the two MR1675 watt light bulbs

A     Answered on 12/5/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Adam Y.

Good morning Mike, The fixture can still be good. If the inside socket isn't rusted out the fixture could still be good. You will just need to replace the lens gasket and bulb.

A     Answered on 7/10/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi Ryan, The Pentair 600017 light is 120 volt so this Intellibrite (601001) will work as a replacement.

Hi, The Pentair Amerlite (78428100) will fit into the same niche as the Spectrum Amerlite.

I have a 500w halogen bulb that I would like to replace with a color changing LED. The 500w bulb provides ample, but not bright light to my pool, which is a lazy L approx. 50 ft. Do you think color will provide enough light, or should I stick with white?

A     Answered on 7/4/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi Joe, The Intellibrite is bright but not as bright as a 500 watt bulb, you can go with the Intellibrite 500 Watt LED White Light (601301).

I have the Intellibrite 5g 120V color LED pool light for 2yrs; now it doesn't change to different colors any more, even I try to switch off and on for a number of times as instructed; it shows only one deep blue color. What 's wrong with it? Are other colors dead. Do I need to replace any part or have to replace the whole fixture? Thank you!

Hi Tom, It sounds as if the board has gone out in the unit. You would be looking at replacing the complete unit

I have 2 Pentair 863330 lights in my in-ground pool. One lights but doesn't change color. The other leaked and doesn't work at all. Is there a replacement light for these? Are there replacement parts for the electronics for these lights?

A     Answered on 7/15/2015 by InyoPools Product Specialist Hector F.

The first generation Intellibrites manufactured between 2007-2009 have a replacement engine kit being part number 60076 and the second generation Intellibrites manufactured after 2009 have a replacement kit being part number 619818Z. Both are special orders and have an approximate lead time of 2-3 weeks.

We have a Pentair series 600015, 600016, 600017 and 600022, is there a cross reference number for a replacement light?

A     Answered on 6/13/2015 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

You would have the older Pentair SAM Light which has been replaced by the new Pentair LED Intellibrite Lights. The Intellibrite lights are replacements for the SAM light and fit into the same niche as your SAM lights. When clicking through to the Pentair LED Intellibrite Lights you will just need to select if you have a pool or spa light, your voltage (12V or 120V) and your cord length.

What size pool is recommended for the maximum effect of this light fixture?

A     Answered on 12/22/2014 by InyoPools Product Specialist Robert M.

Hello Clayton - In a pool with a light colored surface, one Pentair model 601001 is enough for a pool size up to 16'x32'. Anything larger will require multiple lights.

A     Answered on 12/14/2012 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

We would not recommend any color-changing LED lights in a dark colored pool as the colors will not show up. The 601101 Intellibrite 5g Pool LED White Light would be a better choice.

The LED lights are designed to move to the next programmed setting each time you turn the switch on and off.  This will toggle through the different color settings and shows.
