My wife took apart our Krauler hoses last year and I don't know how to set it back up. How many sections of hoses do I use from the hopper to the regulator valve? Which is the correct way the regulator valve faces the hopper (short end or long end)?

Gerald, The owner's manual will illustrate how to complete the hose assembly.

how do I get the first piece of hose that is female/female and has a protective sleeve?

Hi Bob, Kreepy Krauly pool cleaner hoses have a female and male end, you may have the Kreepy Krauly 3 Inch Female/Female Hose.

How long is this hose and how many would I need for a 24 foot round pool

HI Erica, These hoses are 40" long, you would need 10 sections of hose for a 24' pool.

I have a 20 by 40 in ground pool. I have the box of 12 hoses. when I hook up the cleaner it only gets about 65% of the pool as it misses most of the deep end of the pool. I have the Kreey Krauly I/G cleaner E1400. I have the two weights that came with it and I have spaced them out on the hose. My question is this. Do I need more hose or weight for the cleaner? I'm thinking more hose. The deep end of my pool is approximately 91/2 ft. deep under he diving board

Hi Gary, A simple rule of thumb for determining how much is needed is to measure from the skimmer (or dedicated suction line) to the farthest point in the pool then add two (2) extra hose lengths. For example let's say you currently have 40' of hose and measure from where you are connecting the hose to the furthest point away and this measures 40' then we would suggest that you need 2 extra 4' sections of hose. I would try a few more sections to see if this resolves the problem.
