Electrolytic chlorine generation is the easiest, most effective and convenient way to keep pool water sparkling clean.Your EasyTouch system includes all circuitry and fully programmable controls in a single Load Center unit installed near your pool or spa equipment. For pool/spa combinations with a shared body of water, you also receive two valve actuators for automatic switching between pool and spa operating modes.
EasyTouch systems are available for separate pools and spas, as well as pool/spa combinations with shared equipment or separate circulation systems. You select from systems that control 4 or 8 accessory functions. Four-function systems are typically used to control pool and/or spa operation plus pool or spa lights and heaters. Eight-function systems allow separate scheduling for additional features, such as landscape lighting, waterfalls, fountains, additional heaters, and more.
For added flexibility and convenience, indoor, spa-side and wireless remote control devices can be added to any EasyTouch system. As you can see, with EasyTouch systems, pool, spa and poolscape accessory operation—including sanitization— becomes as simple as operating your automatic lawn sprinkling system.

Is the EasyTouch Compatible with a home automation system like the RS-232 or RS-485?

No the Easy Touch will not tie into a home automation system. You would need to go with the Pentair Intellitouch in conjunction with the Pentair I-Link. The I-link will tie the home automation system into the Intellitouch system. Is the salt included with the salt chlorine generator?

No, salt is not included. You would purchase the salt locally and the quantity will depend upon the number of gallons of water in your pool. Use a salt that is at least 99.8% pure NaCl. The preferred salt is evaporated, granulated, food quality, and NON-iodized. Avoid using salt with anti-caking agents like sodium ferrocyanide, also known as yellow YPS (prussiate of soda). These cause some discoloration of fittings and pool surface finishes. DO NOT use calcium chloride.

I have a pool and spa system with Solar system included. The Pentair EasyTouch 8 Fnct Pool Only W/IC40 - 520705 control all of these systems? Please advise.

Hello, Since you have a pool/spa combo, you need the EasyTouch for dual bodies of water. Easy Touch 8 Function 8SC-IC40 w/ Salt Cell - 520545. You will need to add a remote control, wired wall panel or Screenlogic Wireless Kit - 522104 (smartphone controller) to control the EasyTouch System.
