Product Description

It’s based on a love/hate relationship: the more you hate pool cleaning, the more you’ll love this pool cleaner.

The Polaris 280 runs off its own booster pump, working independently from the rest of your pool system. It enables the 280’s double jets to provide greater vacuum power and faster cleaning.

The 280 vacuums, sweeps and scrubs the bottom and walls of any size or shape in-ground pool, be it gunite, fiberglass or vinyl. The extra large bottom opening picks up large debris like leaves, acorns and pebbles.

The Polaris 280 is covered by the Polaris 5/2 limited warranty (when registered) with over one thousand warranty service centers to give you assistance. There is also a Polaris Black Max, a black model of the 280 for dark-bottom pools.

Can I use an existing Polaris booster pump, with this cleaner?

Yes if you already have a Polaris booster pump you would be able to use your existing booster pump in conjunction with this cleaner. No need to purchase a second booster pump.

What is a booster pump, and where does it attach to?

This cleaner is designated as a pressure side cleaner which means:Pressure Pool Cleaners most pressure cleaners require a booster pump which is typically a ¾ horse power pump that is dedicated for use with the cleaner alone. The booster pump allows you to operate the pressure cleaner without taking any suction away from your main pool pump. The addition of the booster pump does mean pressure cleaners require a more involved installation than either suction or robotic cleaners. The booster pump is installed in tandem with your pool pump.

I just bought a new 280 cleaner to replace my old one. I set up it all up but I am not sure how to attach the new hose to the wall. I tried to do it on my own but the hose keeps falling off. Is there something I should put on the end of the hose to attach it to the wall part?
