How do you get it out of the water. I mean, how do you get it to climb the wall so you can grab it?

Hi Jose, You will have to use the cable to guide it to the side of the pool, then use the handle to lift it up and out of the pool. You can see instructions on page 10 of the Polaris 9300xi Owner's Manual.

Hello Joe, I would contact Polaris 800-822-7933 to troubleshoot whether this might just need to be recalibrated or if you need a new motor block.

Does this go up the steps of your pool

Hi, Sue. It depends on the size of the steps but it most cleaners are unable to maneuver steps.
