Good day Jim. we recommend you trying the Jacks Magic STAIN ID KIT - JMSTAINID. The Stain ID Kit is designed to take the guesswork out of removing swimming pool stains. One of the 4 tests will identify what will best remove a swimming pool stain, saving both time and money.

You should be using The Purple Stuff or The Magenta Stuff, they are both formulated for salt pools and pools with high total dissolved solids.

What is the difference between The Blue Stuff and The Pink Stuff?
 Reply

While both products can be used to help remove any kind of metal, The Blue Stuff is more aggressive with copper stains and scale and The Pink Stuff is more aggressive with iron stains and scale.
