I have a salt pool or a pool with high total dissolved solids. Should I be using The Blue, Pink, Purple, or Magenta Stuff?
You should be using The Purple Stuff or The Magenta Stuff, they are both formulated for salt pools and pools with high total dissolved solids.
What is the difference between The Blue Stuff and The Pink Stuff?
While both products can be used to help remove any kind of metal, The Blue Stuff is more aggressive with copper stains and scale and The Pink Stuff is more aggressive with iron stains and scale.

Cons: Kind of expensive
I use this to remove dark stains that accumulate on the bottom at the deep end of the pool over the winter (when the pool is closed) and, occasionally, during the summer. It works when nothing else does.

Pros: Works great
I use the magenta stuff before opening and closing of the pool season and the blue stuff during the swim season. Both these product together work very good, I only gave it a 4 rating because of the price

use this as suggested and you will be rewarded with very slow metal staining (years) ... do not use it and you will be rewarded with very fast metal staining (months). Stain removal is EXPENSIVE and you want to do it as unfrequently as possible. That`s it fellow.
