what is the elbow used for on the Zodiac G3 W03000 used for

These are used for plugging the cleaner hose into the skimmer. The 45-degree angle allows the hose to be positioned better from within the skimmer itself.

Pros: easy to install and maintain

original product was damaged by the pool cleaner rubbing against it, hopefully this one will last longer.
