Hi. If you're losing power at the gas valve, then the control board is the issue.

I have the H100ID heater. It wouldn't come on. My Tech bypassed the pressure switch and unit came on. When the gas valve opened it tried to ignite, we would smell raw gas from the exhaust port, then the gas valve would close. We did a visual check of the igniter which looked fine. The circuit board looks to be new and shows no signs of any burned areas. Pressure switch needs replaced, would hate to purchase a new board to only find out that it was something else.Any Ideas? I bought it used.

Hi, Steve. Check the board to confirm that sending the ignition signal to the igniter. If it is then the igniter is the issue. If ignition does not happen within 10 seconds, the module will try to light for (3) consecutive tries at 30 second intervals. If no ignition is received the control will lockout for 1 hour.

I have Hayward 100ID1 pool heater it lights and then shuts right off. I have cleaned the flame rod but it doesn't come back on unless the power is shut off and turned back on. There is also a very loud vibration noise that occurs when the heat is lit

Hi Steve, If you replaced only the igniter then the problem could be the Control Module. I would recommend that you contact Hayward to troubleshoot or can try replacing the Control Module.

Hi Tom, The problem could be more than a faulty control module, I would recommend that you have a tech come out to inspect your unit.
