Juan. The height of the cover does not make a difference when placing an order. However, it can make a difference in how it fits.

Will this lid fit as a substitute for American Product PN 871016? That PN is on the top of the lid. On the underside of the lid is PN 71018. Our old one is a 9"1/4" lid. Thank you.

This cover is no longer available but if you have a filter that was manufactured after 11-98 then you can use part number 4652-01C. If you are not sure then you can call Pentair at 1-800-831-7133 and provide them with your filter serial number to confirm.

If your current cover is old or is about to fall apart, this is the skimmer cover replacement you need for your pool. It's "thick" and appears to be made of much stronger material than my old skimmer cover.

Pros: Good quality, Fits opening perfectly
Cons: Not the same as pictured
The pool was built in the 1980's and I had 2 beat up covers,one wasn't even the proper size. I was disaapointed in that the look of the new covers was not what I expected ( or pictured). However, my wife liked them, they fit well and seem sturdy. I'm happy with the purchase.
