Is this the equivalent of Hayward lid cover SP1048? If not, can you get these. On the lid or cover which has two screws to keep it in place, it says to use only with Hayward drains and frames of same size.

The SP1048 is no longer available and has been replaced by the cover listed here WGX1048E this cover is the direct replacement for your cover. Here is an image of this cover but in a different color (Light Gray)

What is the diameter of the hole in the middle? Trying to feed a hose down through it.

I do not have one to verify but, by memory, I believe it is approximately 1.0" -1.5" at the most. I recommend contacting Hayward Tech Support at 1.866.772.2100 to confirm.
