Undocumented changes to the 56 frame volute (Waterway part number 315-1820) have made it difficult to identify whether the current replacement part will work with an existing pump. Current volutes will not interchange with older ones. If replacement of the volute is necessary, please replace the entire wet end.
Will this fit a BN61 lasar pool/spa motor?

Hi Michael, this will not fit a BN61 motor. The BN61 motor is a 48 frame; this is designed for a 56 frame motor and the BN61 is a 2 horsepower motor. Be sure to match the horsepower of a motor to the pump impeller size or you risk burning the motor out prematurely. Something like this Wet End,Executive 48fr, 2-1/2"inlet, 2 Hp (310-1820) is much better suited to your BN61 motor.
